Habitat destruction, water pollution and over-fishing has led to the rapid decline in numbers of wild Asian short-clawed otters. They are now classed as a Vulnerable species.

Living Coasts is currently home to two brothers, Willy and Wilby, who contribute towards the captive population in zoological collections.

how do i adopt an otter?

Adoptions apply to the species rather than individual animals. This is because our animals may move to other zoos as part of breeding programmes.
