What to do with injured wildlife

There may be an occasion when you spot or come across an injured animal or seabird around our local areas or coastlines.

Always apply common sense when approaching an animal. Please do not attempt to touch or move the injured wildlife, as animals can bite or scratch when frightened, especially if they are injured.

If you are concerned for an animal's welfare or that they might be injured, then please contact the RSPCA on 0300 1234 999, who will be able to advise you further.

Unfortunately as we are a conservation and education charity, we are unable to take in any species that are injured - please ensure that the RSPCA is your first point of call.
