The Café @ Living Coasts offers a wide selection of fresh food including a Mediterranean style salad bar, freshly filled paninis and baguettes and variety of hot meals and light bites. In addition to our Main Menu and Kids' Bites Menu which offer traditional options such as locally sourced fish and chips, sausages with cheddar mash and onion gravy and chicken ceasar salad we also offer a daily Chef's Specials menu which offers a delicious range of dishes that are bound to tickle your taste buds. All of our food is prepared on the premises when you order, guaranteeing the best quality on your plate all year round.

Living Coasts is committed to using local produce such as day boat-landed fish from South West waters; locally raised meat, free range chickens and eggs; fresh vegetables from local farms.

Eco-friendly eating

As part of South West Zoos, we also understand the impact of food miles, over fishing and battery farming. Our aim is to take a lead in encouraging visitors to use local, ethically-sourced ingredients. We have taken a stand on the use of palm oil, which destroys rainforest habitats to produce, ensuring that all products we sell use either no palm oil or traceable ethically-produced palm oil. For example, our coffee and hot chocolate is Fair Trade sourced via Café Direct.

We are also trying to reduce the environmental impact of waste plastics by offering fresh milk in jugs and sugar direct from dispensers. As yet we are still to discover a hygienic alternative to sauce sachets but we’re working on it.

Sunday Lunches every week at Living Coasts

Our Room with a View, Living Coasts' restaurant suite and terrace is open for sunday lunch every week. Enjoy a two or three course menu of excellent local food served at your table in panoramic surroundings. No queuing at a carvery. An excellent wine list offers fine wine from across the world to complement your meal. Booking is advisable to avoid disappointment.
