UPDATE: Due to the current circumstances with the zoo being closed, we are NOT taking any new experience bookings for the near future. Bookings will resume on our website when the zoo is open again later in the year. Please keep an eye on this page for the latest information. If you have any queries regarding an experience, please contact us on 01803 202470. Thank you for your understanding at this time.

This zoo keeper for a day experience is a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with the macaroni and African penguins on Penguin Beach as you prepare to feed them. You will get to work closely with our expert keepers as they show you around, share their knowledge and introduce you to the special characters they work with.

Being a zoo keeper involves rolling your sleeves up and getting stuck in with food preparation and more, so you should be prepared to get your hands dirty! You'll meet the seals, otters, auks, eider ducks, waders, and have the chance to feed the rays too.

Your experience day will include entry for the day and a certificate. This is a rare and unique gift opportunity, not to be missed.

You must be over 16 to take part in this experience, see our junior keeper experience for those under 16
