18 - 19 Sep 2010 - Seashore Centre, Goodrington and Torre Abbey Sands, Torquay.
A sea adventure weekend with taster snorkelling & canoeing sessions, shipwreck survival, a miniature raft race and sandcastle building. All activities are free taster sessions.

Canoeing Taster Session*
Have you ever wondered what Torbay would look like from the sea?! Well if you have why not try canoeing-the best way to experience Torbay's marine seascape. The session will be led by a professional instructor for 1 hour to give you a taster experience.

Beach Olympics part 1
Can you be crowned winner of SeaFest 2010 beach Olympics? Come and join us in exciting challenges such as the sea creature long jump and the blind Mexican cave fish assault course!

Trash or Treasure Challenge
Can you find the lost treasure that the pirates left behind? Join us on an exciting hunt to see what the sea has washed up on the beach. See if you can find trash or treasure. Which one it is, you decide!

•13:00-13:30 - On the beach
Tug of War - Whale .v. Squid
Whose team are you going to be in - the colossal squid or the mighty whale? Come and join in our tug of war challenge!

•13:30-14:15 @ Goodrington Sands – In the water
Snorkel Safari*
Discover the underwater world of Torbay with just a snorkel and mask - no gills required! Enjoy a 45 minute safari of the shallows off Goodrington Sands to experience the wonderful sea creatures that live in our bay.

Sand Sculpture

You can’t go to the beach without making a sand castle – so why not join our expert sand sculptor and see what creations you can come up with!

•10:00-11:00 - On the beach
Miniature Raft Building
Build your own miniature raft out of recycled material – make sure it’s sea worthy as we will be running an afternoon session to race them!

•10:00-12:00 – In the water
Shrimping and Plankton Trawling
Have you ever wondered what creatures are lurking in the sea just off our coastline? Help us as we trawl through the waters of Tor Bay to see what we can find.

•11:30-12:30 – On the Beach
