Over the last seven weeks we have had three baby Macaroni penguins hatch making the total 26. Now there seem to be even more! (Click the title to read more)

About nine days ago we had an important delivery for the keepers; five more Macaroni penguins had arrived from Twycross Zoo. They have been looked after by the keepers in an enclosure away from the rest of us penguins so they could make sure they were fit and healthy and eating well after their journey, and this morning they came to join us on Penguin Beach.

Daisy has been showing them round and they joined a group that were having a swim. Solly, the youngest of the new Macaroni penguins has spent most of the day on the decking with the Penguin Patroller, and was having a good look at all the visitors. (I spent most of the day posing for photos.)

On behalf of all the penguins, I would like to welcome them to Penguin Beach and will fill you in on all their adventures as the summer goes on.
