Project Penguin!
I have heard that one of our Penguin Patrollers, Jane, is off to South Africa to see some African penguins. Why she needs to go all that way when she spends so much time with me and the other African penguins I don’t know. (Click the title to read more)
I had a chat with my Grandma Pat and she said that she had heard about a charity called SANCCOB who help penguins and other birds in South Africa. SANCCOB are trying to reintroduce young African penguins into the wild with Project Penguin. Grandma Pat also said that Jane was going to be spending some of her time working with SANCCOB to find out how this is going.
I told my mum that I thought I might go too, but she told me Jane was flying there, and as you all know penguins can’t fly. We can’t afford the air fare. (Ha!)
I will see if I can get Jane to write a blog for me when she gets back with information about what she got up to.
See you soon
