Big Brother is watching us!
I am used to lots of people coming to Penguin Beach just to look at me, and being so handsome I also pose for lots of photographs. But now they are taking notes on what we are doing! (Click the title to read more)
I have noticed that over the last week, the penguin patrollers have been watching our every move. I decided to find out why so my friend Albert and I hatched a plan. We decided that Albert would distract the penguin patroller while I read what they had written, as I am a much faster reader. Albert ran off straight past her and as expected, she dropped the notebook and gave chase. This was my chance, so I ran to the notebook and this is what I read.
10 Until 10.30 None
10.30 Fed in the water, 13 Macaroni in until 10.20
11.25 Until 12.30 Africans in and out.
We wondered for a while what it meant but I worked it out - they are making notes of us and the Macaroni penguins being in the water. I think the Africans will spend much more time in the water than the Macaronis. I go swimming everyday because I am such a good swimmer and need to keep my feathers looking good for photographs.
I am thinking of making notes on what the people who work here do all day. They seem to spend most of their time watching the penguins (particularly me). In fact, that’s what I will do this week.
I’ll write soon and let you know what’s been happening.
Love Ping x
