How Old?!
January 20th is nearly here again, and this is a special date on penguin beach, as it is

This year my grandmother Pat will be 32 years old! I often hear people exclaim “how old”! when the penguin patrollers tell them her age. I don’t think they believe we can live to our mid thirties in places like Living Coasts. Out in the wild in places like South Africa we may only live 15 to 20 years. But here at Living Coasts we get lots of yummy fish to eat and we don’t have those things called predators – I have heard some very scary stories about sharks and seals from some of the others. We also have a very nice lady vet who pops to see us and check we are all fit and healthy.
We like to play hide and seek when she comes just to make her day more fun, I am
so good at it!
