Ping the Penguin Blog

Polar Bears?!.....

I was listening to some visitors chatting earlier on today, and they seemed to think that in the wild penguins get eaten by polar bears. Thankfully Jane (the Penguin patroller) was on hand to answer their questions and now they know the truth, which is that there is no way any penguin could be eaten by a polar bear, they can't get the wrapper off. Ha ha. Sorry. It is actually because we live in different parts of the world; polar bears live in the Arctic, which is in the Northern hemisphere, and all wild penguins live in the Southern hemisphere, so it is impossible.

This got me thinking, and as well as keeping you up to date with my life and that of the penguins here at Living Coasts, I would like to use this blog to dispel any common misconceptions about penguins, all in the name of education. Look out for more information in the near future.

Love it! I am so glad you

Love it! I am so glad you have a blog here as well.... it's nice to see more penguins sharing the news around with the world. I would absolutely be delighted to learn more about the myths and truths of penguins as well - great idea!
